Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. Meridian does not collect, transmit, or have access to any information about you or your device. We operate no servers of our own — every feature runs locally on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's on-device AI (soon: Apple's Private Cloud Compute).

Your journal entries

What you write in Meridian — the event you describe, your daily reflections, and anything generated for you — is stored only in the app's local database on your device. It is never uploaded, backed up to a server we control, or shared with any third party. When you choose to "release" a completed journey, it is permanently deleted from your device.

On-device AI (soon: Apple's Private Cloud Compute)

Meridian uses Apple's on-device Apple Intelligence (the FoundationModels framework) to personalise your journaling prompts and generate reflections. This processing happens entirely on your device — nothing you write is sent to Apple, to us, or to any other service for this purpose.

Notifications

If you enable the optional daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device using Apple's standard notification system. No data about your journaling activity is sent anywhere to make this work.

Analytics and advertising

Meridian contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no tracking of any kind. We have no way of knowing how you use the app, and we don't try to.

In-app purchases

If Meridian ever offers an in-app purchase, it is processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not receive your payment information — Apple handles this according to its own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Meridian does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
