Frequently asked questions

Does my writing ever leave my device?
No. Meridian runs entirely on-device using Apple Intelligence. There is no account and no cloud sync — your entries never leave your phone.

I don't see personalised prompts — why?
Personalised, AI-generated prompts require a device with Apple Intelligence enabled. If your device doesn't support it, or it isn't turned on in Settings, Meridian falls back to its own thoughtfully written default journey — nothing is broken, and no content is uploaded anywhere either way.

Can I get my data back after I "release" a journey?
No — releasing a completed journey permanently deletes it from your device. This is by design: Meridian is built around processing one thing fully and then letting it go, not accumulating an archive.

Is Meridian a substitute for therapy?
No. Meridian is a space for everyday reflection, not a clinical tool. If you're going through something heavy, please reach out to a mental health professional or a local support service.
